Pod 5 Expectations

 

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

Required Materials

  • You are expected to arrive in class each day with a pen/pencil, notebook or binder, assignment book, homework, SSR book and a covered textbook.  

Change of Classes/Hallways

  • You are expected to be in your seat when class begins.  If you arrive after the designated time you will be marked late unless you arrive with a pre-signed pass from a teacher.

  • Three times late to class will result in a detention.

  • You will not be permitted to leave the classroom without a pre-signed pass or your assignment book’s “Hallway Pass”.  You must also sign-out on the classroom sheet.

  • The following bell schedule will be followed strictly.  

    • Homeroom 7:40-7:53

    • 1st Period 7:56-8:36

    • 2nd Period 8:39-9:19

    • 3rd Period 9:24-10:02

    • 4th Period Lunch 10:05-10:45

    • 5th Period 10:45-11:28

    • 6th Period 11:33-12:11

    • 7th Period 12:11-12:54

    • 8th Period 12:54-1:37

    • 9th Period 1:37-2:25

 

9th Period “Study Hall” Rules

  • 9th period is a quiet study hall.  

  • You must have a pre-signed pass from a teacher to leave your homeroom.

  • You are expected to bring homework or an SSR book to work on during 9th period.

 

Absences and Vacations

  • It is your responsibility to get work from your teachers prior to a planned absence.

  • If your absence is unplanned, it is your responsibility to see your teachers upon your return to receive your work.

  • If you are absent on the day of a test, you must make up the test on the day you return.  If you are absent on the day of the review, you have one day to make up the test.

 

Academic Integrity

  • Cheating and plagiarism will not be tolerated.  If such behaviors occur, they will be dealt with according to building policy.  

 

CONSEQUENCES

Consequences for inappropriate behavior will be addressed in the following manner based on the severity and frequency of the behavior.

  • Verbal warning

  • Phone call home

  • Team meeting to discuss behavior

  • Formal discipline write up, after-school detention, and student contact of parents

  • Office referral
